Who are the Horrmanns?

Hi. We’re Erick and Courtney. Take a look to the right –> that’s us. We really love people. We love food. We chill out in cafes and parks. We ride bikes. We love board games — particularly Scrabble, Settlers of Catan and Cribbage. We love to have fun — especially Erick. If there is a likelihood for laughter and mischief, he’ll be there. Fun is the core of who he is — he keeps Courtney  giggling. There are three things that define “us” pretty perfectly.

One — we  love coffee. A lot. Much of our quality time together in our dating relationship, engagement relationship and now marriage is based around coffee. Particularly Starbucks — the greatest producer of coffee — ever. In our opinion, of course. We already know we’re Starbucks snobs. We’re self aware like that. Erick takes his with non-fat milk. Courtney takes hers with cream.

Two —  We love dinner parties. As we said before, we love food and we love people. We both cook, and we’d like to think we’re pretty good at it too. We show love for you by cooking you breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, desserts — whatever. The greatest conversations can be had at the end of a meal, when you just sit back, push your plate forward, and enjoy company and conversation. Come on over and eat!!

Three — We need Jesus. He is our first love, dearest friend, courageous protector and loving comforter. Our greatest desire is to bring Him glory and see lives changed by His great love. We’re sinners saved by grace and forever live to be passionately desirous of our Savior. We believe Jesus is worthy of our lives.
