Get to know Erick

I grew up in South Minneapolis in a traditional Christian home. I grew up going to a very traditional Lutheran church, which my dad also grew up going to. I grew up with a younger brother who, like me, is adopted from South Korea (we are not biological brothers).

I grew up knowing that God loved me and had a wonderful plan for my life. I grew up knowing I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I grew up believing both of these things and holding them in the highest regard.

I grew up singing and playing the piano ever since I was 4. I also grew up wearing glasses ever since i was 4.

I grew up.

As an adult I still live in South Minneapolis. Married to the girl I fell in love with “at first sight” my freshman year of college. I am a Christian. I am on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. I am moving to Stevens Point, WI within the next year. Music is still a love of mine. I have since picked up the saxophone and the guitar (acoustic & bass); and continue to play the piano and sing.

I am a Mac user. I am a blogger. I Tweet. I am a petrol-head.

I love the Bible. I love The Catcher in the Rye, The Lord of the Rings, Ender’s Game, & The Great Gatsby.

I love Gladiator, Memento, Man on Fire, Moulin Rouge, & Inception.

I love Counting Crows, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Sara Bareilles, &  Jeremy Camp.

In college I was a print journalism major, then a broadcast journalism major and finally a psychology major. My real major was in Campus Crusade.

I love to fiddle with computers and electronics of any kind. I love technology.

So that’s me. A man of many tastes and aspirations. I’m sure there is more to tell, and I’m sure some of my loves will change, but this is a snapshot.
