Get to know Erick

I grew up in South Minneapolis in a Christian home. I grew up going to a traditional Lutheran church. The same church that my dad had also grown up going to. I grew up with a younger brother who, like me, is adopted from South Korea (we are not biological brothers).

I grew up knowing that God loved me and had a wonderful plan for my life. I grew up knowing I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I grew up believing both of these things and holding them in the highest regard.

I grew up singing and playing the piano ever since I was 4. I also grew up wearing glasses ever since i was 4. I grew up around a loving family that did lots together, created traditions, and always felt like home was safe.

I grew up.

As an adult I live in Stevens Point, WI. I got married to the girl I fell in love with “at first sight” my freshman year of college. I am a Christian. I am on staff with Cru (a non-profit Christian missions organization). Music is still a love of mine. I have since picked up the saxophone and the guitar (acoustic & bass); and continue to play the piano and sing.

I am a Mac user. I am a blogger/vlogger. I Tweet. I am a petrol-head.

I love the Bible. I love The Catcher in the Rye, Ender’s Game, Ready Player One, & The Martian.

I love Gladiator, Inception, Star Wars, Marvel movies [Avengers 1, Cap’n America 2, Black Panther, Avengers 3, Ant-man 2], You’ve Got Mail, & Get Out.

I love Counting Crows, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Sara Bareilles, Lecrae, Andy Mineo & Kendrick Lamar.

In college I was a print journalism major, then a broadcast journalism major and finally a psychology major. My real major was in Cru.

I love to fiddle with computers and electronics of any kind. I love technology.

So that’s me. A man of many tastes and aspirations. I’m sure there is more to tell, and I’m sure some of my loves will change, but this is a snapshot.
